How we work

Since 1984 Nazarene Compassionate Ministries – Africa (NCM-Africa) has been acting as the “Good Samaritan” of the Church of the Nazarene, responding to the needs of hundreds of thousands of people in need with the help of our partners, as well as compassionate individuals and organisations worldwide. Driven by a vision, we have been acting as a bridge between those wanting to help and those who are in need … transforming lives, bringing hope and giving new opportunity.

NCM-Africa develops and implements all our projects and programmes in such a way as to encourage individual growth, community growth, self-sustainability and expansion. We use all available resources and funds to help those people in most need, while at the same time teaching them how to help themselves by changing their circumstances and in-turn enabling them to do the same for others.

This is done without continuing to waste valuable resources by helping the same people over and over again. As a result positive and long-term change is achieved in their lives and in the lives of countless others.

This means that our initial efforts not only benefits the direct beneficiaries and recipients, but also indirectly benefits countless others without wasting valuable resources and time. The available resources and funding is thus used wisely and will benefit more people than initially expected or thought possible.
